Black Health Issues a Call to Action for a COVID-19 Coalition
Syracuse Community Stakeholders Answer the Call to Assist Communities of Color
Syracuse, New York (April 30, 2020) - The National Black Leadership Commission on Health, Inc. (Black Health), a nonprofit organization that promotes health and prevention of diseases within the Black community, issued a Call to Action to community stakeholders in response to the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on the community. Requests were made for donations of mask, gloves, and hand sanitizer in an effort to reduce the risk of exposure to the coronavirus in the most vulnerable communities. Today at 1 p.m. volunteers will distribute kits and encourage the community to reduce their risk by wearing mask, social distancing, washing their hands and avoiding large crowds. In addition, literature will be shared about COVID-19 and the Census at the following locations:###
